Saratoga Jazz Festival
Previously the Newport Jazz Festival Saratoga, currently the Freihofer Jazz Festival, and unofficially called the Saratoga Jazz Festival, this great event has run continuously in late June and early July since 1978.
There are performances on two stages, and music from 12 noon until 12 midnight.
Venue
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center, or SPAC, is one of the nicest sheds in the country and the only one (I think) with a balcony. Its grounds are located entirely within the Saratoga Spa State Park. Click here to see the Interactive Park Map.
It is the summer home of the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra, hosts several special event rock concerts each summer, and has been the home of the Saratoga Jazz Festival since 1978.
