Fees and Policies

BOARDING

$495.00/month plus tax. Includes daily turn-out, full stall cleaning, 4 feedings/day, blanketing and unblanketing. Daily rate $18/day plus tax. Boarder to do two 8 PM feeds/month or comparable chore.

Training Board

$875.00/month plus tax. Same as regular board. I will school your horse 17 times (4 times/week). You will get your horse ready and cool-out.
$1,045.00/month plus tax. Same as above except I get your horse ready and cool-out.

Lessons

1 hour group, 45 minute semi-private, ½ hour private $30
School $25 ($5 each - get ready or cool out)
10% discount for 2 or more lessons/week - or if family members ride

NON-BOARDERS
1 hour group, 45 minute semi-private, ½ hour private $35

INTRODUCTORY BEGINNER PACKAGE
Three ½ hour private lessons. $90 prepaid and non-refundable

Free Lesson

To anyone who recommends another student who takes a minimum of ten lessons. Four free lessons if you recommend a boarder who stays at least 6 months.

Practice

$25 for 45 minutes. Flat work only.

Showing

Boarders/lessees: $25.00/day
Non-boarders: $40.00/day
To have a horse shown $5.00/class

You MUST have your horse braided, clipped, cleaned, bathed if necessary And tack and saddle pad spotless. You are also responsible for unbraiding, unbandaging, rubbing down, and helping to load and unload horses, as well as the acre of the horse at the horse show. Non-horse owners MUST take a minimum of two lessons the week prior to the show.

Commission

10% of the purchase price that you have negotiated for selling or buying. I will look for and make all the arrangements for the inspection of the prospective horse(s). The fee includes my evaluation and riding of the horse as well as observing you ride the horse as many times as required. Same rate if I sell your horse.

Professional Evaluation

$75 plus expenses within 50 mile radius. Full evaluation as described above. If more than 50 miles, a mutually acceptable fee will be determined.

Cancellation Policy

YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR LESSONS CANCELLED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR SCHEDULED LESSON. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL DUE TO ILLNESS, EXTREME WEATHER OR DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR LESSON, YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED IF YOU ARE ABLE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR LESSON WITHIN 5 DAYS.

Non-payment at time of Lesson

There will be a $10 additional charge for lesson if payment not received day of lesson

Dirty Bit/Girth

You will be required to make a $5 donation to The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.

Broken Equipment

You are responsible for replacing or repairing anything that breaks during your use. Likewise, let me know if you see any damaged tack.
